an important part in sustaining the service.
Owing to the re-development of the Howard Town Mill, The Glossop TIC had to find a new home by October 2005. After discussions between the G&DAFT Committee, The Heritage Centre Directors, and High Peak Borough Council, it was decided that the ideal situation would be for the Heritage Centre to provide rented accommodation on the ground floor of their premises in Henry Street.
The ground floor was re-furbished with the financial help of High Peak Borough Council.
The Victoria Street site closed it’s doors on Friday 28th. October 2006, and, after the energetic efforts of staff & volunteers from both parties, re-opened in Henry Street on Wednesday 2nd. November 2006.
The Committee and Staff look forward to many years of this joint venture.
